(ahem) well, since we've gotten that out of the way, maybe we can all have a chuckle..

Somehow, this forum thread (which I had intended to use to instill a sense of urgency and shame in the game producers at Toobix) has degenerated into a Twilight-themed watercooler posting.

Since e-effect's busy schedule has prevented him from devising an adequate comeback, allow me to do it for him.  (that's just the kind of friend I am)

Prime speaks the truth.  I don't mean to cop-out on the fun banter that we usually enjoy here, but I have shifted that time into game development.  You'll be happy to know that we have the new audio engine for the game up and running and, boy, does it sound sweet.

Wow!  That's fantastic.  Thanks for the offer on the services.  I think you will be happy to know that there are actually humans in this new game.  No vegetable people in the RPG.  I cannot guarantee anything for the platformer we have in mind.  In fact, vegetable people are going to be quite important for that one.

As far as the Game Lab is concerned, I think you will find that starting around December 3rd or so we will have several new things for you guys.  This includes our Game Lab!

Wow!

Time flies so fast... December 3rd, 2009 is almost here! I can't wait to try out your playable demo, complete with working animations and music, on December 3rd 2009! I know I've given you two some hassle over the last month, but now that your fully playable demo of Robopirates and Dinoninjas is being released THIS WEEK, I can assure you there will be no more sarcasm coming from this toobix fan!

I mean, waiting over a year just to access the same material at the other end of a link that was deactivated would have really sucked the big one, but since I have a playable demo to look forward to, one that I can test out all the cool karate moves and pirate gags in a multiplier versus mode (online no less!), I am truly stoked! Can't wait!

P.S. Wow!

I am excited to see the demo as well!  Wait, who was assigned to work on that project? Cause I know it wasnt me..

Let me check my schedule...

Let's see...

new t-shirts... check
twilight jokes... check
doodle aimlessly... check
daydream about timetravel... check
re-launch gamelab with info about DPRN... this week
tell obamagrex that a playable demo will be available in a few months and not this week, because no such promises were made.  Meanwhile, arrange to have his car filled with mayonnaise and/or sand in the middle of the night... pending

Oh, must have forgotten that last one

Are we going by the Blizzard definition of "a few months", or is this thing ready yet?

It sort of depends on your definition of "playable" and "demo".  Also "few", and even "available" if you want to get specific about it.

6 months today since E-Effect's last reply (1/30/10) in this thread... SIX MONTHS.

9 months since my first post (9/2009) in this thread...

Demo (of DPRN)?

Screenshots (of DPRN)?

T-shirts with screenshots (of DPRN)?

Star-Wars links with screenshots (of DPRN)?

Number of times this thread has been hijacked to discuss Twilight?

TWO

Yep, went to the midnight showing of Eclipse last night.  Pretty good time.  Only bad part was waking up to go to work after a few hours of sleep.  I thought the choice of trailers was a bit odd, but the movie lived up to expectations.  And I even brought my spanky new iPhone with me so my wife and I could play the Mobile Twilight Trivia game while waiting (a few hours) for the movie to start. Now, don't let this information distract you from the fact that I am a Star Wars fan first, Twilight second.  Just want to clear that up. I do have an entire floor of my house decorated in honor of the 'Wars, after all. (my repeated requests to hang up posters of Edward have thus far been denied).  Yup... at times the mind does wander though, and dream of what it would be like to live in Seattle. I hear it's only a short drive from Forks, WA...

Did it get awkward in here, or is it just me?
