Q: How does your digital media shop work and how do I pay you?
A: It's quite simple actually. You log into your Gamer Account, you head to the shop and add mp3s to your cart, you check out at our PayPal page with a credit card or PayPal account, and then you head back to your Gamer Account to download your mp3s. There's on-screen instructions to guide you the whole way through. Told you it was simple.

Q: Do you guys charge sales tax?
A: Only if you live in the state of West Virginia. Since our business HQ is located there, we are only required to collect sales tax from residence of WV.

Q: Do I have to have a Gamer Account to buy an mp3?
A: Yes. The only way we have of delivering a digital file to people on a person-by-person basis is to have a secure place where they can download the file they purchase. Once you explore the capabilities of your Gamer Account, we think you'll find it to be a pretty cool place, too.

Q: What do I do with the zip file that I've downloaded?
A: The zip file contains your mp3(s). Most operating systems now-a-days come with an option to unzip them just by right-clicking or bringing up the context menu for the folder. If you need a free program to do this for you, though, this is e-effect's favorite: FREEZIP.

Q: How is the quality of your mp3s?
A: EXCELLENT! You will find that in a blind listening test you would not be able to tell the difference between the uncompressed (.wav) and compressed (.mp3) versions of our tracks. Also, you will notice that the file sizes are just right for fitting tons of music on your mp3 player and computer. For the techies out there we use lame to encode our mp3s at a variable bit rate. Specifically, we use the lame encoder version 3.97 with RazorLame set with custom options only at -V 2 --vbr-new.

Q: Do you guys use digital rights management (DRM) for your MP3s?
A: Nope! You should be able to burn it and transfer it to your mp3 player as many times as you want to. We trust you will follow the law and common sense rules that are established for music in the United States.

Q: What data do you collect from us for your shop?
A: The bare minimum to allow our shop to function. This is outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Q: How do you use this collected information?
A: This is also outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Q: I want to buy something as a gift.
A: Everyone needs a friend like you! We are currently working out a way to offer electronic gift cards. Check back with our shop frequently to find out when and how this program will work.

Q: Do you have any coupon/discount codes?
A: Not yet. This will be implemented soon as well. Keep checking back with us for ways to get some discounted goods.

Q: Do you guys take refunds on digital media purchases?
A: Unfortunately not. Since these items are digital, once you download it to your computer there is no way for us to "take it back."

Q: What if I have a problem with my purchase?
A: We're sorry to hear you're having trouble, and we'll do everything we can to fix the problem. Head on over to our CONTACT page and choose your preferred method of reporting your issue. This includes both a direct email form and a link to our SUPPORT FORUM BOARDS. The answer to common questions are likely to be in the forum, so you may want to start there.
